1962-1973
Our collaboration began with the design of a book written by the firm's resident architect, Malcolm Quantrill, and blossomed into a fullblown design consultancy which lasted for 12 very busy years and embraced every single piece of printed matter and every sign whether for building or vehicle. At the time of our first contact Barbour Index was a very young, vigorous outfit which easily out-paced most of the competition in its field and firmly established itself as the leading service of technical information to the construction industry. We were given the fullest support by the directors of the company and enjoyed working with them enormously. However, one day in 1973 we just felt we had been working with them long enough and resigned our consultancy. They have continued to thrive ever since.
